Easy Linux SOHO

So if you are not given 70-100 a penny for a router for the second computer at home or you just want to have more serious control over the traffic plus additional extras that one of these cheap routers can't provide, maybe it would be best to make one SOHO with Linux. In general, I want to say in advance that everything is done on Debian or Debian based distroci 🙂 not that things will not work on others but just to say 😉 😆

Well, to start in general, we don't need the hardware we need, it's something more than 400Mhz professor with 128MB of RAM and as much hard drive as you can find 🙂 this is in cases when the iron will do only that 😉 for more serious purposes raise the criteria a bit but even to use it and for web hosting you will not have problems with a little more ram and 200-300 Mhz on top 😉 If you have a personal computer, there can be no such marriage, you will still want X to have 😎 A and most importantly 2 links 😉

1. настроивате си ланките първата ви ланка от която идва нета се настроива както си му е реда ако сте на DHCP не я пипате втората с която ще пращаме нета се настроива само с IP и маска 🙂 аз за по прегледно я слагам 192.168.0.1 мрежа с 255.255.255.0 маска 🙂 и това е няма да слагате друго по нея

2. изплнете в терминала echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward за да пуснем суичинга между картите

3. добавете или откоментирате net.ipv4.ip_forward = 1in /etc/sysctl.conf (без кавичките) 😉 това ни разрешава пакет forwording-a

4. инсталираите си ipmasq and dnsmasq in Debian the distribution is in the default repositories 🙂 ipmasq configures our firewall and dnsmasq is our DNS server it can also be DHCP although I am a fan of “you claim” attunements. dnsmasq is a hell of a good solution for small networks of about 50 compa 🙂 that BIND is quite a heavy tool. When you install your ipmasq, reconfigure it to run at your request, I did it to be after my network service is started 😉 reconfiguration dpkg-reconfigure ipmasq And you can solve this and during this time on the second computer you put the IPs from the same network by putting for Gateway and DNS the IP on the second link of the first computer 🙂

4. additional routines. 🙂 if you want to set such additional - for debian it is best to push them in /etc/network/if-up.d/ there you make a file of some sort of routes.sh with the following syntax

/sbin/route add -net 0.0.0.0 netmask 0.0.0.0 I 0.0.0.0 dev eth0

I thought that in general there is no need to comment on the syntax, just don't forget to make the file executable after writing everything in it chmod + x / path / to / file

And lastly if you want to run a DHCP server CRY I haven't tried it and I can't comment on the article - it's generally a work in progress 5-6 min 🙂

AAAAA very important thing, I have a few problems with static routines, but it's something ipmasq, but I didn't pick it up, where is the problem to fix it? 😉 😉 when I find out where the problem is I will whistle 🙄
